I'm trying to write more faithfully in a blog. The benefits of having a regularly updated blog have come up more and more frequently in random, everyday offline life. Don't think that this is a purely self-serving pursuit - one of the many differences between a blog and your run-of-the-mill journal is the awareness that the blog is written for a public audience, while with the journal the audience is yourself.

Anyway, blogs are for sharing, whether it be the shitty day you had at work, a recipe you tried out from allrecipes.com com with terrific success (photos included), or a vehement opinion on prop 8. "Corporate" entities have blogs too, wherein authorship rather than singular is shared. The San Francisco MOMA has a blog. Vogue has a blog. If Wells Fargo can have a blog too - well, I'm left to wonder who's subscribed to that on their rss feed...

Some of my current favorite blogs today are Photoshop Disasters and My Milk Toof. Pretty sure the first one's self-explanatory, but the second one narrates the quotidian adventures of two lost teeth in adorable stop-motion-esque photograph strips - well, it's worth a click:
