Chocolate chip cookies: my terrible descent into addiction.

1/10/11

Tonight, I baked my fourth batch of chocolate chip cookies from December 2010 'til now.

My enabler was this chocolate chip cookie recipe (which I give all four stars to, by the way). Using a tablespoon as a scooper yielded around 32 cookies, although there probably would have been more if I could restrain myself from snacking on the cookie dough.

Yes, I am an awesome food photographer. The cookies are really brown, and I suspect it might be because I let the dough rest for around three days in the fridge. The center looks underbaked 'cause I like 'em that way ;)
These cookies are a little more cakey than the Jacques Torres cookie recipe that's been floating around for quite a while and less overtly buttery than the Alton Brown "Chewy" chocolate chip recipe, and I really do like the taste and texture.
